It's grape picking and wine-making season here in Moldova. Everyday as I walk home from work every few steps I smell a different type of wine wafting from each house. This combined with the changing leaves make it my favorite season in this part of the world. Moldovans take great pride in their homemade wine, and almost every family harvests and bottles their own sort. They keep it for the year in underground wine cellars in different barrels.
